There is no HOSA meeting tomorrow due to pep rally and activity schedule. Anyone who has not paid for HOSA by Tomorrow is not in HOSA club. State affiliation cutoff is Saturday the 5th. Please pay for HOSA if you wish to join - Bring $20 dollars to Mrs. Moore.
The THS Tennis Team will be having their annual car wash fundraiser this Saturday, October 15th from 9:30 to 1:30 at Advance Auto Parts 709 Volunteer Parkway. Come on out to support our team and get your car washed at the same time.
Any student needing Community Service hours please consider the following opportunity: WALKTOBER is a month-long campaign that encourages our community to be more active by walking regularly. This push is led by the River’s Way Walking Club, a group of young adults with differing abilities that are highly involved with River’s Way programs. Participating and helping support other participants can be used for community service hours. The event will be held at the THS track on Saturday, October 22 starting at 9:30 am. There will be games, refreshments and more. Students who are interested in participating please contact Matt Kyle at [email protected] -or- (423)-715-0085 for any questions surrounding the event.
Reminder of important dates for Seniors

- The TN Promise Application is due on November 1st! Students are automatically disqualified if they do not apply by this date. and that is sad 🙁

The Beta/National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 pm in the auditorium. New members of both clubs should meet in the chorus room for club pictures at 6 pm.
All Tennessee High Baseball players, that are not participating in a fall or winter sport, are to report to coach Robert’s room# 2435 Thursday during VikingTime.
Drama Club meeting after school on Tuesday, October 11th. Please report to room 3434 directly after school. Important information will be given as well as dates for "work days" and community service hours.
There will be NO Afterschool LEAPS on Wednesday 10/12/22 due to Parent/Teacher conferences.
Rachel’s Challenge Club (also called Friends of Rachel) emphasizes kindness and school-wide encouragement. Anyone can join. See Mrs. Sutherland and sign up outside her door 3414 to be in the club. We will meet for five consecutive Fridays during homeroom: Oct. 21, 28, and November 4, 11, 18. No meetings occur in December. Rachel’s Challenge Club meetings will resume January 27, Feb. 3, 10, 24. No meetings occur March or May.
Josten’s will be returning to THS next Thursday, October 20 to take senior cap and gown orders during all three lunches. Please make all seniors aware of this in your classes.

First Priority meets EVERY TUESDAY of the school year in wellness room 2445. All are welcome. We welcome ALL STUDENTS and are especially delighted that 14 freshmen have joined the Tuesday meetings. Those 7:00-7:20 AM meeting dates include September 13, 20, 27; October 11, 18, 25; November 1, 15, 22, 29; and December 6, 13; January 10, 17, 24, 31; February 7, 14, 21, 28; March 7, 21, 28; April 4, 11, 18, 25, and May 2, 9, 16, 24. Mrs. Sutherland (room 3414) is the first Priority faculty sponsor.
Seniors will take the final free ACT on Tuesday, October 18. See your counselor in guidance for more specific testing details. See Mrs. Sutherland for free tutoring on Wednesdays in her room during Viking Time or after school in LEAPS on Monday afternoons.
Go to act.org to sign up and pay for national Saturday ACT exams on these dates: October 22, December 10, February 11, April 15, June 10, and July 15. You can sign up for ALL of them, ONE test, or SEVERAL. Get studying for the ACT!
