MIGHTY VIKING BAND STUDENT EXCELS AT STATE LEVEL
Tennessee High School sophomore, Shelby Vining, made 4th chair alto saxophone in the 9th/10th grade All-State Band, placing her among the top high school saxophonists in the state. This exceptional achievement highlights Shelby’s outstanding musical talent and dedication.
Shelby traveled to Nashville April 10-13 where she performed at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center alongside other top musicians in the state. Selection for All-State Band is highly competitive, involving rigorous auditions that challenge each student’s technical skills and musicality.
Shelby has been playing the alto saxophone since middle school and has consistently demonstrated her commitment to excellence in music. Shelby’s participation in the All-State Band not only showcases her individual talents but also brings honor to the Tennessee High School Mighty Viking Band, which is committed to fostering musical talent and supporting students in achieving their highest potential.
