  • The cafeteria has opened up an additional food service cart on the pool side of the cafeteria to help students move through the lines faster. You can use this service at lunch today!

 

 

  • Students who have had or will have a business or marketing class with Mrs. English can join FBLA!  The cost is $30.  See Mrs. English in room 2115 for more information.

 

  • Anyone in a Health Science Pathway who wishes to join HOSA may pick up applications in Mrs. Moore's room

 

 

  • On Tuesday, September 5th in the THS Auditorium, we will hold a Senior Family Night where families can come to learn about all things about Senior Year!  We will discuss college applications, financial aid, TN Promise, career and military options, and more! We will also open up appointments for scheduling your senior meeting with Mrs. Slagle. College and military representatives will be present in the auditorium lobby at 5:30pm before the meeting to answer questions to help you navigate through this year successfully.

 

 

 

 

  • ETSU Upward Bound (UB) is now accepting applications for 23-24 school year. UB is a college-prep program that is designed to increase high school students’ opportunities to attend college. Students begin their freshman year and follow the program until they begin their college career. UB provides an academic support system, workshops and individual counseling sessions for financial aid and scholarship information for college, ACT preparation, and career planning. Upon graduation from high school, UB students have the opportunity to enroll in a college class at ETSU. The UB program provides tuition assistance, tutoring, books, and supplies for up to two summer classes. All activities are free of cost to students and their families. Students must meet one of the following criteria: 1. family income must meet federal guidelines AND/OR 2. neither parent obtained a four-year degree from a college or university.   • Yearbooks are now on sale! Early bird cost is $65.00 until Sept 15. After that, the cost will be $75.00. Order the 2024 Cadmea at jostensyearbook.com

 

 

 

  • Seniors:  If you have a reserved spot in the senior lot you must also have a parking pass. If you have not picked one up, please come by the THS business office and pick up a form to fill out to receive your pass to display in your car.

     

    • If you are parking in the Southside parking lot, you must also have a parking pass. Please come by the THS business office and get a form to fill out to receive your pass to display in your car. 

     

    • Note, you will have to take the paper home to have your parent/guardian sign and then return it to the THS business office. 

     

    • Cost for Southside parking pass- $3.00
    • Cost for Senior parking pass- was already included in the fee to paint/reserve a spot.

     

     

  • FCA will meet every Friday, right after school, in the choir room#2314

     

     

  • ATTENTION potential French Club Students (Le Cercle Français): 

    Please have your parent/guardian sign the LCF interest application permission slip and return to Madame TOBY by 8 September along with your $5 club membership fee. 

    If you need a hard copy of the interest form, please see Madame TOBY in room 1218. Please see Madame TOBY for any questions!

    Our first meeting is scheduled for Monday, 11 September after school in Room 1218. You must have your permission form turned in and dues paid BEFORE this meeting!

     

     

     

  • A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Emergency supply kits can help you be prepared. Items to keep in your emergency kit include a flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, whistle, phone lists, paper, pencil, water, and non-perishable snacks.

     

  • Reminders:

     

    • When given permission to go to the bathroom, students should use the bathroom closest to their class.  Classroom teachers will pick out the closest bathrooms to their room and inform students that these are the bathrooms they are required to use.  Students who do not use their assigned bathrooms will be disciplined for being in an unauthorized area.
    • Use of the snack/ drink machines should be limited; however, when given permission, students should go to the closest machines.  Once again, classroom teachers will pick out the closest machines to their room and inform students that these are the machines they are required to use.  Students who do not use their assigned machines will be disciplined for being in an unauthorized area.
    • The Mezzanine hallway is off limits to any student who does not have a class.  The bathrooms will only be opened by teachers who have classes on the Mezzanine.  Students who enter the Mezzanine area w/o permission will be discipline for being in an unauthorized area. 
    • Viking Hall is off limits to any student who does not have a class in Viking Hall.  The bathrooms are off limits to anyone who does not have a class in Viking Hall.  Students who enter Viking Hall w/o permission will be discipline for being in an unauthorized area.
