Coach Kim Bright is fired up to begin her fourth season in her second stint as head coach of the Lady Viking Basketball program. Coach Bright came to THS in 1995 as an assistant coach and helped lead a tremendous rebuilding job, culminating with back to back Conference and District Championships in 1998 and 1999. In the summer of 2000, Coach Bright was promoted to head coach and led the Lady Vikes to a tremendous run of success over the next 8 years, winning 20 or more games in 7 of 8 seasons and finishing at or near the top of the conference standings annually. Under Coach Bright's leadership, the Lady Vikings captured the Conference championship in 2002 then won four in a row from 2005-2008. The Lady Vikings also captured the District Tournament title in 2005, 2006, and 2007. During her initial run as head coach, she had a player named Conference Player of the Year four times and coached four 1,000 point scorers. She was also named Conference Coach of the Year 3 times.
At the end of the 2008 season, Coach Bright stepped down to spend more time with her family, especially her young son. She spent the next 9 years continuing to teach at THS and spending time with her family before returning to the bench in the summer of 2018. In 2020, Coach Bright once again became the all-time winningest coach in the history of Lady Viking Basketball.
Coach Bright is a graduate of Sullivan East High School. She has a Bachelor's degree from Milligan College, a Master's in Education from ETSU, and an Educational Specialist in Administration from Lincoln Memorial. teaches Wellness and Physical Education at THS and has previously coached softball as well. She lives in Bristol with her husband Parrish, son Mchale, and dog Aspen.

Charlie Tiller
Assistant Coach
Coach Charlie Tiller
begins his seventeenth year on the Lady Viking staff as assistant head
coach and head coach of the Junior Varsity team. Before coming to THS, Coach Tiller spent three years at Vance
Middle School. Prior to coming to Bristol, Coach Tiller coached for two
years at Indian Trail Middle School in Johnson City. Coach Tiller is a
graduate of THS and earned his Bachelor's Degree from East Tennessee
State University and his Master's from Union College. He teaches English
and Social Studies at Tennessee High and has also coached softball and
volleyball. Coach Tiller and his wife Lesley have three dogs and live in Bristol. Coach Tiller
is really looking forward to this season and hopes to help the team
build on the great tradition of Lady Viking Basketball.

Elizabeth Arnold
Assistant Coach
Coach Elizabeth Arnold
is thrilled to be beginning her eighth year as an assistant at THS. She
is a 2009 Tennessee High graduate and lettered 3 years as a point guard
for the Lady Vikings, including being a part of the "Elite 8" group of
seniors that led the Lady Vikings to the 2009 TSSAA State Tournament.
Following graduation, Coach Arnold was a volunteer assistant with the
THS program and then was the head coach of the 7th grade team at Vance
Middle School before returning to THS. Coach Arnold earned her Bachelor
of Science degree in Mathematics from ETSU in December 2014 and began
teaching in the Math Department at THS the following January. She and
her husband Jayson and their son Abram live with their dog in Bristol. She is looking
forward to another exciting year of Lady Viking Basketball!

Amanda Vance
Assistant Coach
Coach Amanda Vance is excited to be back for another season with the Lady Vikings as a varsity assistant. Coach Vance is in her second stint at THS. She joined the staff for the 08-09 season that culminated in a trip to the State Tournament after 2 seasons as an assistant coach at Surgoinsville Middle School. During her initial 5 season stint at THS, she helped lead the Lady Vikings to the District title in 2010, a conference co-championship in 2010-11, and the substate in 2013. In 2013, Coach Vance graduated from ETSU with her degree in Special Education and was hired to teach and coach basketball and track at David Crockett where she spent 3 years. In the fall of 2017 she returned to THS where she now teaches Special Education and is the Transition School to Work Coordinator. Coach Vance also organizes Adaptive Sports and sponsors the Firecracker Squad. Coach Vance also coaches Track and Field at THS and has coached a number of state qualifiers. Coach Vance and her husband Josh live with their two children, Natalie and Weston in Kingsport. She is very excited to see what's in store for this group of Lady Vikes.
