Amanda Vance
Head Coach

Coach Amanda Vance is excited to begin her second season as the head coach of the Lady Vikings. She led the team to the Regional semifinals in her first season. Coach Vance is in her second stint at THS. She joined the staff for the 08-09 season that culminated in a trip to the State Tournament after 2 seasons as an assistant coach at Surgoinsville Middle School. During her initial 5 season stint at THS, she helped lead the Lady Vikings to the District title in 2010, a conference co-championship in 2010-11, and the substate in 2013.

In 2013, Coach Vance graduated from ETSU with her degree in Special Education and was hired to teach and coach basketball and track at David Crockett where she spent 3 years. In the fall of 2017 she returned to THS where she now teaches Special Education and is the Transition School to Work Coordinator. Coach Vance also organizes Adaptive Sports and sponsors the Firecracker Squad.  Coach Vance also coaches Track and Field at THS and has coached a number of state qualifiers. Coach Vance and her husband Josh live with their two children, Natalie and Weston in Kingsport. She is very excited to see what's in store for this group of Lady Vikes.

Charlie Tiller
Assistant Coach

Coach Charlie Tiller begins his twentieth year on the Lady Viking staff as assistant head coach and head coach of the Junior Varsity team. He has been a part of six Conference Championship teams and four District Championships. During his time at THS, the Lady Vikings have also advanced to the Sectional twice and the TSSAA State Tournament in 2009.

Before coming to THS, Coach Tiller spent three years at Vance Middle School, winning the conference championship in his final year. Prior to coming to Bristol, Coach Tiller coached for two years at Indian Trail Middle School in Johnson City. Coach Tiller is a graduate of THS and earned his Bachelor's Degree from East Tennessee State University and his Master's from Union College. He teaches English and Social Studies at Tennessee High and has also coached softball and volleyball. Coach Tiller and his wife Lesley have three dogs and live in Bristol. Coach Tiller is really looking forward to this season and hopes to help the team build on the great tradition of Lady Viking Basketball.

Jenna Dunkerly
Assistant Coach
 
Coach Jenna Dunkerly is excited to begin her first season on the coaching staff of the Lady Vikings. She previously coached softball at Tennessee Middle School and has also coached some travel softball. After a 12 year career in business and marketing, Coach Dunkerly went back to school to pursue her teaching certification. She graduated from ETSU with her master's degree in 2022 and was hired to teach special education at THS that fall. She is also the Anchor Club sponsor, Renaissance Coordinator, Freshman Class sponsor, and Viking Booster Club committee member. 

A native of New Jersey, Coach Dunkerly now calls Northeast Tennessee home with her husband Eric and stepchildren Ethan and Eliana. She feels very blessed to be a Viking and is excited for the upcoming season.
